The graphic design program at City not only prepares students to become fluent and versatile visual designers, but has moreover created a vibrant family of artists and designers that enter the professional field full of confidence. Over the years we have been very fortunate to have numerous City graduates thrive at ArtCenter College of Design where they often set the benchmark in our graphic design program. -Nik Hafermaas, Chair Graphic Design// ArtCenter College of Design

San Diego City College and ArtCenter College of Design have a long relationship stretching back 30 years. Many San Diego City College alumni have transferred to ArtCenter to continue their studies and have gone on to productive, dynamic careers. Often City College students have transferred on partial or full scholarship and shine at ArtCenter with their work exhibited in the gallery and set the benchmark in the graphic design program. One example of a thriving career is SDCC alumni Chris Do, the Emmy award winning director, designer, strategist and educator. He's the Chief Strategist and CEO of Blind in Los Angeles,  executive producer of The Skool, and the Founder of The Futur— an online education platform that teaches the business of design to creative thinkers. Another is Renée Perdomo who after SDCC studied at ArtCenter and is now the Global Art Creative Director of Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco.

Both presentations are free of charge and open to the campus and community.
